The situation escalated when the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a statement on behalf of Shaheen, without his knowledge. To address the issues and make amends, Mohsin Naqvi traveled to Kakul to resolve the matter.

Naqvi had a constructive discussion with Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was controversially removed as captain, confirming that all issues have been resolved. Naqvi attributed the mishap to PCB employees’ fault.
Shaheen expressed his desire to avoid further escalation of the situation and emphasized that all issues have been resolved. He urged the team to unite and emphasized his commitment to moving forward positively.
Addressing the players, Naqvi emphasized that future decisions will be merit-based, without any undue influence.
