The Finance Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government issued a notification on 21-05-2024 regarding the scheduled announcement of the Budget 2024-25 for KPK on 24th May 2024. It has been decided by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government to present the annual budget 2024-2025 prior to the Federal Government’s schedule. Previously, the Federal Government had set the announcement date for Budget 2024-25 Pakistan on 7th June 2024. The details are outlined as follows
The announcement of Budget 2024-25 for KPK on 24th May 2024: Referring to the aforementioned subject, and in line with the approval of the Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it is notified that the Cabinet has resolved to present the Annual Budget of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the fiscal year 2024-25 before the Provincial Assembly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 24th May 2024. A copy of the Summary, duly approved by the Chief Minister, is attached herewith for your reference.
Consequently, I request the convening of the Provincial Assembly session on 24th May 2024 at 3:00 P.M.
Convening of Provincial Cabinet Meeting
Further referring to the aforementioned subject, it is stated that the Annual Provincial Budget for the year 2024-25 will be presented before the Provincial Assembly on 24-05-2024 at 1500 hours. A copy of the Summary, duly approved by the Honorable Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is enclosed herewith. The Budget Estimates 2024-25 necessitate approval from the Provincial Cabinet as per the Rules of Business, 1985, before presentation to the Provincial Assembly.
Hence, a special budget meeting of the Provincial Cabinet is requested to be convened on 24-05-2024 at 1500 hours. The agenda items will include.
- Revised Estimates for 2023-24 and Budget Estimates for 2024-25
- Annual Development Programme for 2024-25
- Measures for Resources Mobilization/Finance Bill for 2024-25
- Recommendations from the Provincial Finance Commission for 2024-25
The summaries for the Cabinet on the above items will be circulated by the Finance and P&D Departments before the meeting commences.
