Fatima Jinnah Medical College came into existence prior to the Partition in 1941. Its first-class consisted comprising just 50 pupils in 1942. Candidates who have a minimum of sixteen years of college are able to take the examination. After Independence in 1948, the college was established under the supervision of the Punjab Government, and then all the labs and equipment were made available and the university operates as a full Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan.
