Following electricity, there are plans to increase the prices of petroleum products as well. Preparations have been made to implement these changes, with a suggested hike of Rs 3.44 per liter for petrol. This would result in an increase in the ex-refinery price from Rs 192.17 per liter to Rs 195.61 per liter.

Petrol prices likely go up from March 1

Furthermore, there is a proposal to potentially raise the price of diesel by Rs 1 per liter, bringing the ex-refinery price from Rs 206.75 per liter to Rs 207.75 per liter. Similarly, kerosene prices might also increase by Rs 1 per liter, with the ex-refinery price potentially rising from Rs 177.70 per liter to Rs 178.52 per liter.

The current price of crude oil in the Brent oil market is $82.52 per barrel. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is set to send a summary of petroleum product prices to the Ministry of Petroleum on February 29.Expected petrol price in Pakistan from March 1 2024.
