Expected Increase in Petrol Price in Pakistan. Due to global oil price trends, it’s expected that petrol prices in Pakistan will go up starting from April 15th.
Following electricity, there’s also a plan to hike the prices of petroleum products. Preparations have been made for this increase, set to take effect from April 15th.
On April 15, 2024, the new federal administration is expected to raise the price of gasoline by Rs. 2.5 and diesel by Rs. 8.5 per liter.
This prediction is based on the upward movement of global HSD, gasoline, and crude oil prices, which saw significant increases during the first week of April. Interestingly, for the past two weeks, the value of the Pakistani rupee has remained steady at 278–279.
The Finance Minister will announce the prices after consulting with the Prime Minister. These prices of petroleum products will be effective from April 15.
