Sindh to Launch Kissan Cards Soon. During a cabinet meeting in Sindh led by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, a significant decision was made to introduce Kissan Cards across the province.
The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, was attended by provincial ministers, the Chief Secretary, the Principal Secretary, the Chairman of P&D, the Finance Secretary, and other officials.
Sindh cabinet decides to launch Kisan card
The Sindh cabinet resolved to introduce the Kisan Card to assist farmers, fulfilling the commitment made by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari during his election campaign.
Chairing a cabinet meeting, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah stated that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has provided explicit directives for the issuance of Kissan cards and the formulation of a plan to implement development projects in every district.
Sindh Govt Launches ‘Kisan Card’ Programme For Farmers
During the meeting, the cabinet resolved to introduce Kissan Cards throughout Sindh. Chief Minister Sindh emphasized that these cards will not only be distributed to landowners but also to individuals cultivating 12 acres of land independently. Sindh to Launch Kissan Cards Soon, The distribution of these cards will be completed across Sindh within a timeframe of 6 months.
Murad Ali Shah stressed the importance of prioritizing wheat procurement and pledged assistance to farmers in the event of natural disasters.
Furthermore, he mentioned that Bilawal Bhutto has instructed the initiation of Kissan Cards, and steps will be taken to advance agriculture based on scientific principles.
Other Decisions
In addition to the decision regarding Kissan Cards, the Sindh cabinet approved several other measures during the session.
A grant of Rs. 5 million was sanctioned to JS Academy.
Furthermore, expenditures totaling Rs. 521 million for the People’s Bus Service were approved during the cabinet meeting.
Sindh launches Kisan Card
Transport Minister Sindh, Shariq Memon, provided an update to the cabinet, informing them that the Sindh government had launched the People’s Bus Service project in October 2021. Currently, 230 buses are in operation, with intentions to add 20 more and procure an additional 40 buses. The government has allocated 6.522 billion rupees for 250 buses and 995 million rupees for 40 buses.
