With less than two weeks left before the first groups of Muslims from other countries come for Hajj, Saudi Arabia is working harder to stop people who are not allowed to go on the pilgrimage.
To help with this, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj has made a special tag for people who are allowed to go on Hajj. This tag will make it easier for them to go to the holy places during the upcoming Hajj season.
The Saudi Minister of Hajj, Tawfik Al Rabiah, introduced the Nusuk Card in Indonesia this week and gave the first batch to the Indonesian Hajj mission.
The Nusuk Card comes in both physical and digital forms and has detailed information about each pilgrim. Pilgrims need to carry it with them to go to the holy sites and move around Mecca during their Hajj trip.
Pilgrims from other countries will get the card from their Hajj offices after they get their pilgrimage visas. But those from within Saudi Arabia will get it from service providers after they get their Hajj permits.
