In a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Ambassador of Qatar, Ali bin Mubarak Al Khater, showed interest in boosting the recruitment of skilled workers from Punjab.
Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also attended the meeting. The Qatari official praised Pakistan’s skilled workforce during the conversation.
He also informed Maryam Nawaz about his country’s interest in increasing recruitment from Punjab. Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and finding new ways to work together.
Additionally, CM Maryam informed Ali bin Mubarak Al Khater about the business-friendly environment in the province and invited Qatari businesspeople to invest there.
“We aim to boost economic ties between Punjab and Qatar, stated CM Punjab. The meeting also involved talks about collaborating in different sectors, such as infrastructure development, to boost Punjab’s progress and growth.
The chief minister informed H.E. Mr. Ali Bin Mubarak Al Khater about the business-friendly policies of the Punjab government and extended an invitation to Qatari businessmen and industrialists to invest in Punjab.
We aim to enhance economic relations between Punjab and Qatar, she expressed. Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation.

Later, the Chief Minister presided over a meeting to review the advancement of road construction, expansion, and rehabilitation projects throughout the province. The chief minister emphasized the significance of adhering to deadlines for road projects across Punjab.
Furthermore, she also initiated the registration process for issuing Kisan Cards. This initiative aims to provide farmers with access to agricultural loans totaling Rs300 billion annually.
