Punjab is Launching Affordable Housing Schemes in 6 Cities. In a notable initiative to tackle housing requirements for low-income residents, Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, has approved housing schemes in six cities throughout the province.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore. Stressing the importance of the issue, she instructed relevant authorities to promptly identify suitable sites for housing projects in Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Rawalpindi.

The Punjab government has made the decision to introduce a housing scheme for low-income individuals in six cities across Punjab.
This resolution was reached during a meeting chaired by Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz.
A proposal for approximately 100,000 houses for low-income individuals was put forward.

Since taking office as Punjab’s first female Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz has exhibited a dedication to serving the public interest through diverse initiatives, such as Ramazan Nigehban and facilitating the acquisition of E-bikes through installment plans.
Previously, on March 18, as part of her agenda to improve public transportation infrastructure, Maryam Nawaz Sharif provisionally approved the commencement of a metro bus project in three cities across Punjab.

The approval was granted during a meeting held in Lahore, where the presence of PML-N leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif highlighted the party’s backing for such developmental endeavors.

Throughout the session, transportation projects in Lahore were comprehensively examined, with the Chief Minister also expressing interest in investigating the viability of an underground train project for the city.
