King Edward Medical University (KEMU) in Lahore has announced admissions for MD/MS and MDS programs for the year 2024. These programs are offered by the university in affiliation with the government of Punjab. As of July, 2024, the institution has been renamed King Edward Medical University and operates as an independent, degree-granting university. Prospective candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to submit their admission applications for consideration.

The application form, which includes a double fee of in the number of Rs. $6,000/- the post, by hand, or courier post is accepted until the July on Thursday, during normal working hours. The university will be open from Monday through Saturday from 08:00 AM until 03:00 PM. The exception is Fridays from 08:00 AM to 12:01 noon. Mayo Hospital was added to the university in 1871 following the closure of the Anarkali Dispensary was closed.Â

The duration of these programs is four to five years. The Punjab residency program is an underlying program of the Punjab government. The first step is that the King Edward medical school will be taking the admission examination JCAT for the induction of doctors of surgery master MS and doctor of medicine as well as a master of dentistry MDS courses that are offered by various institutions in Punjab. In 1887, the university was able to add two additional teaching hospitals affiliated with the university: Lady Aitchison Hospital and Lady Willing don Hospital.
