Isra University is a private sector university. The university is recognized by Higher Education Commission HEC and Pakistan Engineering Council PEC to award approved degrees. The university is owned by Isra Islamic Foundation and is working as a nonprofit institution. The university is also certified by Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP). The university has three campuses at Hyderabad, Karachi, and Islamabad. The main campus is located in Hyderabad. The university has currently opened admissions in2023 for all these campuses.

NTS has the responsibility to conduct an admission entry test for admissions2023. All candidates must appear in the entry test to get admission. 50% marks are mandatory to obtain in the admission entry test.
