After heavy rainfall on Monday caused a landslide on the old Murree-Kashmir Road, the City Traffic Police (CTP) has implemented measures to tackle the situation.
Among these actions, heavy vehicle entry has been prohibited, and diversions have been set up to ease traffic congestion in the impacted zone.
As per a spokesperson from the CTP, traffic diversions have been put in place at strategic locations such as Bansra Gali, Ghora Gali, Satra Meel Toll Plaza, Kuldanna Chowk, and Jhika Gali Chowk to aid commuters in their journeys.
Additionally, the spokesperson suggested alternative routes via the expressway from the twin cities to Murree, Ayubia, and the suburbs of Murree. Moreover, drivers heading towards Murree and its surrounding areas were advised by the traffic police to drive with caution.
