A viral notification on social media suggests that the federal government has sanctioned an Eid-ul-Fitr allowance for all its employees. According to the notification, employees from grades 1 to 22 would receive an allowance of 15% of their basic pay for Eid-ul-Fitr.

Furthermore, it stated that the allowance would apply to every department and division under the federal secretariat. Dated March 29 and identified by the number F.No.14(10R-3/2021-324, the notification bears the signature of Officer Fozia Hussain.
All departments have been directed to ensure strict compliance. However, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance informed a local media outlet that no such decision has been made. He emphasized that the notification circulating on social media is fake.
Additionally, another notification circulating on social media claimed that the federal government has declared Eid-ul-Fitr holidays from April 9 until April 12.
Govt shares latest update on Eid-ul-Fitr allowance for employees
