According to the academic record, Gomal University conducts BA regular as well as private exams in the month of July and August. The university issues a date sheet one month before the exam so that students can prepare for examinations. University issues roll no slips to private candidates 15 days before the exams at their postal address. If one not found his slip, must report GU a minimum of 7 days before.

Gomal University is Public Sector University. It is one of the oldest and largest universities in Pakistan. It is situated on 11000 canals and established at Dera Ismail Khan (D.I.Khan) KPK. It was established in 1974 and laid the foundation stone on 1st May 1974 by former Prime Minister of Pakistan Zulifqar Ali Bhutto. It has four faculties.
