In a significant development, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has announced an increase in monthly stipends for eligible women, providing crucial financial assistance. Aamir Ali Ahmed, BISP Secretary-General, shared this positive news during a recent press briefing.
BISP Increased Three-Monthly Stipend to 10,500 Rupees
Under the Kafaalat initiative, BISP has raised its quarterly stipend from 8,750 to 10,500 rupees per beneficiary, benefiting over nine million female beneficiaries. Ahmed stated that qualifying women in the program will now receive a monthly stipend of 10,500 rupees, showcasing the commitment to addressing economic challenges faced by impoverished households. This adjustment aims to enhance the financial well-being and overall quality of life for beneficiaries.
BISP increases quarterly stipend
Ahmed highlighted the importance of BISP, mentioning that 9.2 million deserving households are currently benefiting from the program’s initiatives. The additional stipends are intended to directly and positively impact the lives of these families, providing a safety net during challenging times.
